Visit the beach
Yes, Venice Beach is open, but its re-opening comes with a few restrictions. Visitors can enjoy biking, running or walking, swimming, and surfing. Beach chairs, coolers, and umbrellas are now allowed, but all beachgoers are asked to maintain social distancing and keep groups to 10 or less. Parking is now available at Venice Beach as well.
Watch a Venice Beach sunset
Venice Beach sunsets will always be there, no matter what. Soak up a sunset from the sandy shores of Venice Beach or Caspersen Beach or take a walk along the Venice Fishing Pier for one of the best sunset views on the water. It is the perfect way to end the day.
Fishing
Venice Beach offers a diverse habitat, interconnected waterways, and a sub-tropic climate – making fishing an activity that can be enjoyed year-round. The Venice Fishing Pier is one of the most popular places to fish in the area. No fishing license required.
Biking in Venice Beach
With several beautiful and scenic bike trails to ride along, Venice Beach is the perfect place for bikers. Biking in Venice Beach is a great way to get some exercise, explore the island, and soak up a little sun. Bike along the miles of sandy beaches or through downtown Venice Beach. Or tackle the 10-mile long ride along the Venetian Waterway Park Trail or the Venice Area Beautification Bike Trail.
Visit one of the many Venice area parks
The greater Venice area offers several well-maintained parks featuring tropical flowers, lush gardens, palms, and pines, plus with some offering outdoor recreational activities.
Venice Area Audubon Rookery
Photographers and birders from all over come to the Venice Area Audubon Rookery to watch and photograph the nesting birds (December through late May).
