Island Bike Loop
Bike the perimeter of Venice Island, from Roberts Bay to Caspersen Beach. The entire loop is 13 miles where bikers can ride alongside the beach and the Intercoastal Waterway. This is a nice in and around town route, with multiple connectors to other pathways such as the Venetian Waterway Park.
The Legacy Trail
The Legacy Trail is a 10-mile stretch of flat trails that provide historic and nature stops along the way. The trail runs from Sarasota, beginning at Culverhouse Park, down south in Venice, on W. Venice Ave. at the Venice Train Depot. While this path does on take you near the beach, you will cross parks, including Oscar Scherer State Park and cross over Dona Bay and Roberts Bay.
Venetian Waterway Park
Add a few miles on to the Legacy Trail at the Historic Venice Train Depot with the Venetian Waterway Park trail. This route features five miles of walking and biking trails on either side of the Intracoastal Waterway. This scenic park is home to wildlife and beautiful views with various stops along the way. This is a nice trail to use to access Caspersen Beach near the pavilion.
